Sunday July 24th was a special day for El Camino. It was the first
Sunday in the new building! Although there are many small details to sort out still, the building is
usable. 160 chairs were put out in the newly constructed meeting hall which
takes up the whole back garden. 140 people were there and we didn't feel a small group in spite of
having much more space than before.

Three banks of chairs surround the pulpit area. It is as well there are empty seats as we need room to grow! One thing we are missing is a white screen for the overhead projector. It was a very happy ocasion!

Looking out of one of the ex bedroom windows you get an idea of the
size of the main hall which will seat up to 300 people. Craig Querfeld, our pastor, led the meeting. In a healthy departure from tradition we spent much of the morning
praying in different groups. Sometimes by family, sometimes by ministry area.

SIM's motto is It was encouraging to hear even young children taking part in the
prayer times. At one point the children sang a couple of songs. Left to right, Jane, Lula and Laura were some of those on the doors.
