El Camino 3rd Anniversary

Brad Quiring leading worship at the start of the service. 157 people crowded into the church house. It is remarkable how God has blessed this church which began three years ago with about 20 at the first meeting. We have long met in the garden due to the good numbers attending.
       
Every available space was occupied! Each week the chairs are put out on the lawn and put away in the store room afterwards. It can get quite hot under the canvas awning. Needing a new meeting place due to large numbers is a great problem to have!
       
Craig Querfeld interviewing Craig Querfeld interviewing Fernando, a new believer gave a clear testimony. He attended a Christian school years ago and recently came to Christ. One of his teachers was in the congregation to hear it! Joel brings much joy with his ready smiles!
       
It was a moving moment when those who had trusted Christ in the last year each came forward to place a candle on the cake. Then it was time to light all 18 of them! Outside is not a good place for candles though! In the end Craig held one for the youngest and the oldest new believers to blow out. Even this blew out before they could do that. Next year we hope to have a new indoor meeting place.
       
The birthday cake is an Craig gave thanks for all the new believers gathered together at the front. Even then there were some missing. Folk stayed around for a long while enjoying fellowship over cake. All in all a day of gratitude to God for His goodness to us as a church.
