Sunday July 25th to Tuesday July 27th, Steve and Amy went on a
children's camp at which Steve was doing the Bible teaching.
26 children enjoyed an all too short time at camp. As soon as they arrived they were divided into dorm groups and next
morning each one did a small presentation of their team chant. Five young boys came from the neighbouring village. It was hard for
them and the middle class children from the city to integrate. Pray
for the camp committee as they look at ways to help children from
such different backgrounds to all get the most out of camp and
learn to appreciate each other. There were plenty of activities in groups.

These were designed to build community among the children and help
them to get on well. Three Bible sessions were held. They looked at the life of Samuel. On day two the dorm groups acted out the story from the day before. The children listened well to the Bible teaching and Gospel
presentations.

they had learned. The time passed all too quickly. Andrea, from the

The parachute was enjoyed during one of the activity sessions. Even though the pool was freezing, most of the children enjoyed a
refreshing dip! Team games provided the opportunity to work together. The aim is to
fill the bucket at one end by passing water from hand to hand! Time to talk in groups.

Four children have to carry another with a stone on their tummy without
it falling off! Louisa Heron, daughter of our SIM Peru director, became
a Christian as a result of going to camp. Praise God with us for His
work in her life. The bonfire was a highlight on the second night. Happy children having fun in the country! Breakfast on the last day was fun. The dorm groups dressed up as
tribal indians.

Then knelt at benches after the fashion parade before the judges to
enjoy a fresh air breakfast. Food always tastes better outdoors! Jane was camp director for the first time. She, along with her husband
Vicente, were the first people to come to Christ through the outreach
of the All too soon it was time to go home, but not before each group received
their certificates for participation.
